Flatiron School is seeking a Data Analyst to expand its central Data & Analytics team and help maintain an analysis-ready data ecosystem and create high-impact analytics for the Marketing, Admissions, and Enterprise (Growth) departments. 

You will work among data analysts and data engineers in collaboration with business stakeholders to supply the organization with invaluable, data-backed insights and reports. Accomplishing this will require a deep understanding of business operations and corresponding datasets as well as mastering many different technologies and systems. We will be looking to your experience and skill as a data analyst to guide our team’s practices and at the same time having flexible options for your growth as a data professional.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with business leaders to identify challenges that can be solved with data to improve the business and student experience
  • Work with a team of analysts and engineers to develop new data and analytic capabilities
  • Assemble and maintain tidy datasets that can be trusted for critical decision making
  • Generate, maintain, and automate reporting for internal teams and/or external clients
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
  • ️Share data in a digestible way through presentations, dashboards, and reports
  • Develop insights and recommend business strategy based on data️
  • Define best practices and new processes to collect, manage, and analyze data

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in an analytical capacity managing data, developing insights, and communicating results through visualizations and/or reports
  • Proven stakeholder management experience - including managing multiple cross-functional partners simultaneously
  • Presentation and communication experience extracting insights from technical datasets to varied audiences including high-level management
  • Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans
  • Intuition and curiosity to troubleshoot data

Additional Qualifications:

  • Understanding of marketing/sales systems and funnel data (we use Marketo and Salesforce)
  • Data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Looker or Tableau
  • SQL and relational databases (we use Redshift)
  • Data analysis software like R or Python
  • Infrastructural data technologies such as Apache Airflow
  • AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift
  • Version control (we use Git)
  • Information security and compliance experience

Expected Compensation:

  • $70K - $85K Annually
