You will be part of the data science team. We work cross-functionally with other teams to ensure that our colleagues have the needed data, reports, analyses, and models needed to make data-driven decisions as well as improve the user experience. Our main stakeholders are the Growth and User Acquisition teams and we are expanding our services and products further to support other teams.

Expectations | Duties

In this role, you will get exposed to our data warehouse, data pipelines, and models. Depending on the current priorities and your practical skill set, you can find yourself contributing to:

  • Data & Analytics Engineering to consolidate our data pipelines
  • Conducting Ad-Hoc Analyses and building Ad-Hoc dashboards to support business teams and help them monitor their metrics
  • Exploratory Product Analyses to look for insights and come up with actionable recommendations for the Growth team

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics
  • Good understanding of basic engineering practices (agile methodology, testing, clean coding, peer-reviewing, continuous integration, git workflows, etc…)
  • Solid theoretical and practical knowledge around Analytics, Statistics, and Data in general
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English) to be able to refine requirements from your business stakeholders, discuss your methodology with your teammates and present your results when needed to higher-ups and other colleagues from other teams
  • Willingness to learn and adapt your skills to an agile production-focused context. Practical experience here is a great bonus
  • Practical knowledge and relevant experience in SQL (We use dbt for data engineering, BigQuery as a data warehouse). You can also use R or Jupyter for analyses purposes as well

Good to Have:

  • Prior experience with some of the tools we use in our Data-Stak (Amplitude, dbt, BigQuery, Metabase)
  • Strong engineering practical experience (production)
  • Deep understanding of statistics and AB-Testing
  • Prior experience in an agile environment
