At eVisit, we're working to simplify healthcare delivery to everyone everywhere and good data is fundamental to delivering on that promise to our patients and providers. We need a Data Engineer who can help us accomplish this vision.

In this role you will join our Data & Reporting team and will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and other teams across the company to understand and support business needs.
  • Design data models around a variety of different types of data including: healthcare provider data, patient authorizations and claims, medical images and reports, proprietary quality assessments, and more.
  • Build reliable, performant, maintainable, secure systems and pipelines which can scale to the needs of our business.
  • Transform complex (and sometimes messy) data from disparate sources into clean, coherent data sets for consumers.
  • Expose data interfaces to customers, providers, and internal teams.

What you'll own:

  • Understanding and documenting our data
  • Converting erroneous data to data that can be used for analysis
  • Maintaining systems that ensure clarity and quality in our data
  • Building infrastructure to make data more available
  • Create a data warehouse
  • BS in computer science or related technical field (or relevant experience)
  • 2+ years of professional experience with building data platforms and/or ETL pipelines
  • Deep familiarity with the landscape of data technologies (tools for ingestion, processing, storage, etc.)
  • Comfort working with Unix-based environments and the command-line
  • Comfort with containers
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with SQL (Redshift and MySQL preferred)
  • Experience with Airflow
  • Experience with AWS a plus
