Our Engineering & Tech Operations team builds and operates complex solutions for global business challenges that cross cultures, legal jurisdictions, and impacts millions of people and businesses every day. This Position

You will be joining the Data Foundation and Platform team to support internal enterprise users to build dashboards, data models, data pipelines and all-things-data. As a data engineer, you will be working on ETL, data warehouse and data visualization related projects. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders such as Business Analysts, Product Managers and fellow Data Engineers to solve a variety of data related problems.

This position is an Individual Contributor and reports to the Senior Manager Business Intelligence. Please note that this position is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build dashboards to provide actionable insights and key business metrics
• Design, build and test reliable data pipelines to extract and transform data
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements by automating manual processes for greater efficiency
• Collaborate with stakeholders across organizations to support their data needs
• Implement data quality checks to maintain the high quality of data
• Optimize and maintain the existing pipelines
• Document the work in confluence and Alation

Basic Qualifications

• Currently in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related engineering field and enrolled during the time of the internship
• English language proficiency: native or fluent
• Proficiency at least one programming language and SQL (i.e. MySQL, SQL Server, etc.) required
• Experience in extracting, transforming and loading data using any data platform
• Knowledge in relational databases
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams
• Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities
• This role is not eligible for sponsorship (CPT/OPT etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to troubleshoot and triage complex, data-related technical issues
• Basic experience in agile working environment and JIRA
• Experience using GitHub to host code samples
• Proficiency in SnowSQL
• Experience in QlikView or Qlik Sense
• Experience in Matillion/Fivetran
• Experience using Salesforce.com
• Experience writing technical articles
• Experience in data warehousing design
• Familiarity with AWS
