Job Description

Clarity Services is hiring a Data Modelling Analyst II for its growing Strategic Analytics team. The Strategic Analytics team is responsible for a wide range of analytical activities to support Clarity’s core market (Alternative Financial Services lending) that includes:

  • Develop and validate credit scores, risk models, and other predictive tools to support and grow the organization’s core business.  Draft model governance documentation and support the creation of marketing materials and sales content.
  • Explore “big data” and generate analytical insights that drive product innovation and serve as content for industry and client presentations, webinars, and publications such as the Annual Trends Report.
  • Explore and research opportunities to improve and expand upon the organizational product suite.
  • Conduct research in response to inquiries from internal and external clients about Clarity data, attributes, and predictive models.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources 
  • Provide support & perform special projects assigned by Director of Strategic Analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Applied Math or other quantitative discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 2-5 years experience conducting analyses, building predictive models and providing insights using large datasets
  • Programming skills in R and/or Python
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Advanced Degree in Statistics, Applied Math or other quantitative discipline
  • Knowledge of consumer lending, risk management, credit bureau data, credit scores
  • Experience building and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience with business Intelligence/data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with AWS tools such as RedShift
  • Experience with Hue and/or Hive Query Language
