The Data Platform Engineer builds, implements, and manages Knowbe4’s data pipeline, infrastructure, and platforms. This role also monitors and troubleshoots issues on critical data platforms to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities:

• Independently investigate, analyze, and deploy AWS infrastructure components.
• Manage GitLab repositories and contribute to the refinement of SDLC and CI/CD workflows.
• Develop IaC with a focus on reusability and modular design.
• Design and implement robust backup and recovery methods, ensuring operational security.
• Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements and efficiency gains.
• Analyze system and application metrics to propose performance and fault tolerance improvements.
• Collaborate effectively with other engineers to improve cloud product implementations and create concise documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation for supporting production services and actively resolve issues

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/MS/Ph.D. or equivalent plus 2 years experienc
• Comfortable maintaining existing scripts in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Javascript)
• Experience maintaining infrastructure in AW
• Experience maintaining workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) - GitLab is preferred
• Effective communication skill
• Ability to easily adapt while working on competing project
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.

The base pay for this position ranges from $110,000 - $120,000, which will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description listed above.
