Reporting to our COO, you’ll be joining a team who have helped build companies like Chime, Twitter, Instacart, E-Trade, McKinsey, Etsy, eBay and more.

REQUIREMENTS

As Data Science & Business Intelligence Lead, you’ll be working on our most business-critical insights from our data. As the source of truth behind our strategic decision-making, you’ll connect the dots from data from product, growth, finance, and (literally) anywhere else necessary to provide  insights to our leadership team as well as build predictive models that help us better serve our customers' needs.

The skills required for this role - 

• You have technical mastery of:
• AWS Sagemaker
• Python
• AWS Redshift
• AWS Lambda
• AWS S3
• Databricks Workflows & Notebooks
• You deep have experience working with:
• Fundamentals of Data Warehouse design & operation
• Fundamentals of Datalake design & operation
• Looker
• You are a storyteller and love creating a clear and compelling narrative out of data for an executive audience
• You are an excellent listener and understand how to get to the heart of a problem or question, even when it’s not the one being asked
• You are a skilled investigator and are able to experiment your way to an answer quickly, sometimes using advanced tooling, sometimes by being just plain scrappy

Bonus points - 

• Experience in FinTech or other fast scaling tech start-up
• Experience in direct to market businesses (i.e., B2C, B2SMB)
• Experience building out data teams
• You have previously owned cross-functional organizational data strategy, and in so doing have worked with different teams outside of the data organization
• You come from a family of small business owners
• You have a non-traditional or diverse background (personal or professional). You’ve lived a life that is different, where you've been challenged or have chosen to challenge yourself
• You’ve worked with the following technologies:
• Mixpanel
• Segment
• Braze
• Docker / AWS Elastic Container Registry
• TypeScript / JavaScript

• Market range for this role at NorthOne is 140K-200K. This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy.
