Synergy Sports, A Division of Sportradar, is looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our software team.

Synergy Sports delivers on-demand analytics and associated video to nearly 1500 basketball, baseball, and hockey teams from pro, international, and college leagues. Our systems are highly complex and contain petabytes of data and video requiring extremely capable individuals to maintain the scale and efficiency of its products.

Synergy Sports’ data science team will contribute to the ongoing development of the company’s revolutionary sports data and video delivery solutions, building applications such as:

  • Sports Workflow Applications
  • Sports Analytics Systems

Synergy Sports is a globally distributed company, with employees working from home offices. The role must be comfortable working in a virtual office using online collaboration tools, with all communication and interaction in English. We work on an asynchronous model with flexibility of when and where you want to perform your job, while still being able to attend team calls and regular meetings. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data science or data engineering related role
  • Demonstrated, creative problem-solving using data analysis
  • Applied experience with regression analysis and other statistical modeling techniques
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Fundamental understanding of Machine learning concepts (e.g. cross-validation, statistical basis for ML algorithms, etc..)

Bonus Superpowers:

  • Experience scaling and operationalizing data science models in production settings
  • Experience working with MongoDB, MySQL, or other relational/noSQL databases
  • Software engineering background
  • Sport-specific analytics experience
  • Previous experience leading a team

Pay Range: $106,000 - $171,000
Sportradar intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location. Base pay is just one component of the Total Rewards that Sportradar provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
