As Alchemy's first Data Science hire, you will have the opportunity to develop data driven pipelines for analytics and growth efforts within the company. This position is essential — as our company and user base continues to grow at a rapid pace, we're looking to find a rock-star data scientist who will take the lead on our various growth efforts. Some of the various initiatives will include: analyzing ad campaigns, quantifying pricing models, implementing internal analytics to make external decisions, and understanding our key growth vectors and how to optimize them. You'll be working closely with our world-class growth, product, engineering, and marketing teams to help make data-driven decisions on how to best drive forward the company.

Responsibilities

• Identify key metrics for business performance, and develop tooling and dashboards to track and understand them
• Aggregate public and proprietary data to weave compelling stories and communicate them throughout the company
• Analyze cost and usage patterns to construct optimal billing models across our entire product suite
• Design and own data best practices and help to grow the data teams
• Develop and deploy data pipelines and data models that power the decision making engine at Alchemy

What We're Looking For:

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with high growth startup experience preferred
• Deep understanding of statistical and machine learning concepts and practice applying them
• Expertise in data analyses performed on relational tables and unstructured data dumps
• Proficiency writing analysis scripts in at least one scripting language
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure - particularly AWS a plus
• Leadership abilities to establish, manage, and grow a crucial team within the company
• Ability to understand and write about highly technical topics, for both general and technical audiences
• Passion for blockchain technologies a plus
