As a Data Scientist you will continue the tradition of data-driven product innovation by working closely with engineers and product managers on existing and nascent products for the mobile economy. Within product and engineering you will evangelize mathematical approaches to measurement and analysis and make our organization stronger in the process.

Button is based in NYC and has employees distributed throughout the US and UK. This position is for NYC or Remote. #LI-Remote

As a Data Scientist you will:

    • Contribute to the design, testing, and iteration of the machine learning algorithms that form the backbone of Button’s PostTap SMS and App products
    • Work with our data warehousing systems to design, build, and maintain analyses and performance visualizations for key customers, major product initiatives, and other internal needs.
    • Work closely with engineering to design and implement A/B testing of consumer and customer facing product features

Experience level:

    • Skilled in Markov Decision Processes and Bayesian Statistics
    • Proficiency in Python
    • Experience with linear algebra, Monte Carlo methods, SVM, Model Selection, and optimization
    • Familiar with both SQL and NoSQL databases
    • Comfortable with AWS, distributed computing, and large-scale data sets
    • A desire to produce production level code and contribute to the engineering codebase
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
