We are looking for an experienced data scientist who specializes in the understanding, connecting, and improving data structures and processes and can support our growing data science, engineering, and product teams.

Responsibilities

    • Deeply understand all of Windfall’s data assets, including the quality of the data, connections across datasets, and changes to the data over time. 
    • Curate an internal dashboard for monitoring the health of our datasets. Communicate clearly any gaps identified.
    • Provide expertise on, influence, and document structures and processes that make up our data pipeline.
    • Identify opportunities to augment our data assets with additional datasets. Analyze potential new data sources for possible acquisition.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline; advanced degree preferred
    • 5+ years of full-time data analytics/data science experience, including applied techniques in exploratory data analysis and monitoring
    • Expert knowledge of Python & SQL
    • Collaborative, team-focused attitude with a strong desire to advance the product and learn new things
    • The ability to communicate technical ideas to a non-technical audience
    • Self-starter with experience turning ideas into actionable designs
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Eligible to work within the United States
