Job Summary:
DonorSearch Aristotle introduced deep learning and machine learning into the nonprofit sector by building custom models with a robust interactive visualization tool to help organizations fundraise more efficiently. The Data Scientist will use best-in-class machine learning technologies to develop machine learning algorithms to meet various objectives of fundraising staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Builds production-quality, custom predictive models to enhance and expand our core product
- Investigates new data sources, perform statistical analyses, and document findings
- Works with engineering and data vendors to improve the accuracy of our data sources
- Performs analysis on a wide variety of large and disparate datasets using complex techniques
- Creates presentations and data visualizations to effectively communicate results to internal staff and external customers
- Applies and combines current and emerging techniques and tools in novel ways
- Develops and combines complex data analysis techniques and methods for a specific application
- Prepares and aggregates large datasets ML builds and scoring
- Maintains machine learning models and evaluate ongoing performance
- Provides support to DonorSearch Aristotle clients with phases of data discovery, aggregation, delivery, onboarding, and adoption
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; Master's degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 1 year of related experience; or PhD in similar disciplines.
- Broad knowledge in one or more related fields of the following areas: artificial intelligence, quantitative modeling, machine learning, statistics, math, data science and data visualization.
- Experience in wide application of principles, theories, basic programming and Artificial Intelligence Techniques and concepts
- Hands on experience in building, testing, operationalizing and maintaining machine learning models
- Extensive knowledge of applicable industry and/or academic practices and standards in software design & development and Computer Science
- Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline
- Experience including applied techniques in modern data science and machine learning in production environments
- Expert knowledge of Python & SQL
- Collaborative, team-focused attitude with a strong desire to advance the product and learn new things
- The ability to communicate technical ideas to a non-technical audience
- Self-starter with experience turning ideas into actionable designs
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Eligible to work within the United States
Note: This is a remote position that requires up to 25% travel.
The Salary range for this position is $60,000+, with bonus potential.
