Overview

PhysIQ is seeking a talented technical and analytical “utility player” with Python development, data engineering, and analytics expertise. As a member of the Data Services team within Operations, you will help deliver cutting-edge health monitoring technologies, partnering with account management as a critical link between internal development teams and physIQ’s Life Sciences and Healthcare customers.

This is an ‘all things data manipulation related’ multi-discipline role, ideal for someone who is not intimidated by the unknown of problems or situations they are tasked with solving, but instead is energized by finding and implementing a smart solution. Key attributes are pro-active, self-motivated, solutions oriented, and alert to finding inefficiencies that could be improved through technology.

This will be a good fit for someone who prefers to work across multiple technologies and systems; enjoys the challenges of diverse projects; and does not like to be locked into just one programming language, development of just one product module, or a singular function.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, debug, and maintain Python scripts and SQL queries to access and manipulate data
  • Coordinate with account management teams to configure/deploy customer portals, provide technical customer support, and fulfill customer’s data requirements
  • Become a subject matter expert in the use of physIQ’s Python SDK, able to assist and eventually train to external technical teams
  • Extract and deliver analytics from physIQ’s product platforms
  • Provide or investigate enhancements to product functionality
  • Assist in building data pipelines into and out of the product

Required Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent technical background
  • Strong Python programming skills, ability to maintain code in a team environment
  • SQL programming skills
  • Familiarity with Bash / Unix / Linux
  • Understanding of version control software, preferably Git
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to solve data-driven problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid communication and writing skills

Nice to haves

  • Familiarity with healthcare data and/or healthcare industry background
  • Experience working in a SAFe organization
  • Continuous integration experience (Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Github Actions, Travis, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar) and dashboard/report design
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or similar (AWS, Azure) for file transfer, cloud SQL, etc.
  • Experienced with database administration/relational databases
  • Understanding of predictive modeling and other data science concepts
  • Storytelling using insights gained from data
  • Experience solving business problems using analytics and statistics
