Verasight (formerly Reality Check Insights) powers data-driven decisions and shapes the national conversation (e.g. Los Angeles Times, The Economist, RealClearPolitics). We are looking for a founding software engineer to build innovative and scalable technology as we grow our community of people who share their opinions and perspectives. We are a scrappy team and you will work directly with the founders to build Verasight and the future of data collection & analysis. Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain complex databases and data ingestion pipelines
- Manage and lead all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Build and lead team of developers
- Design cutting-edge system to grow our community of people who share their opinions and perspectives
- Work directly with our founders and data scientists to build streamlined and automated processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
- Experience designing and deploying high performance systems with reliable monitoring and logging practices
- Working knowledge of relational databases and query authoring (SQL)
- Experience operating in hyper-growth environment
- Full stack experience or knowledge preferred
- Innovative mindset and meticulous attention to detail
- Willingness to operate independently and desire to constantly innovate
