  • Participate in publications, presentation, and research to promote Linus Health as a thought leader in the domain of healthcare AI
  • Collaborate with clinicians, product managers, and software engineers to develop applied solutions and prioritize scientifically grounded product features
  • Address data challenges such as missing data, class imbalance, small data sizes, and inconsistent formatting
  • Mentor and grow the next generation of data scientists and statisticians at Linus Health
  • Learn, evaluate, and develop novel approaches to crafting digital twins, quantifying uncertainty, and targeted solutions to advance healthcare solutions
  • Collaborate and learn from other data scientists to align on best practices and leverage existing tools and knowledge
  • Clearly document, track, and communicate results to executive leadership and the C Suite

About You:

Must Haves:

  • Advanced degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Biostatistics or similar
  • PhD and 4+ years of experience required
  • Previous work in healthcare data analysis
  • Deep knowledge of applied statistics and mathematics
  • Mastery of core statistical methods such as correlation analysis, hypothesis testing, evaluating distributions, etc.
  • Previous project leadership experience and comfort mentoring small teams of data scientists
  • Fluency with Python or R
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior project leadership and planning skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with cloud-based analytics solutions, preferably AWS
  • Expertise in deploying data driven  products and working with software engineers
  • Exposure to neuroscience, neurology, neuropsychology, geriatric medicine, or similar
  • Experience working within an FDA regulated environment and with standard FDA data formats

What We Offer:

  • As a health and wellness company, an opportunity to have a lasting impact on the way people and communities engage with brain and mental health, and even to affect the prognosis of people’s mental and brain health trajectory
  • A mission-driven environment where all 95+ (and counting) employees strive to exemplify our core values every day
  • Competitive compensation packages that include an annual discretionary target bonus incentive as well as valuable equity
  • Unlimited PTO — We know this can work both ways, however our leadership team does an excellent job at encouraging people to take PTO
  • A sincere and deep appreciation for the importance of mental health. We have recently implemented a “monthly flex day” where employees are encouraged to take time away from work to rest, recharge & reset.
  • A peer-to-peer recognition program: Celebrating our employees hard work and success is in our DNA!
  • Employee Referral Incentive program
  • A robust healthcare package that includes medical, dental & vision benefits as well as a 401(K) program where Linus will match up to 6% of employee contributions.
