As a Lead Product Analyst with the Digital Product Analyst team, you will:

  • Champion Target’s data-driven culture, working closely with Product and Engineering teams, to advocate for the use of insights that will direct product efforts towards initiatives with the highest impact.
  • Own and manage product analytics on behalf of a product feature team, such as Content & Personalization, Search & Browse or Post-Purchase.
  • Work with product owners to design measurement plans, analyze the product performance, and provide strategic recommendations. You’ll use your analytical expertise to help determine priorities and areas of focus.
  • Synthesize analysis and results in compelling storylines and communicate to influence key stakeholders. You should have the ability to tell a story around the problem, the solution and the impact and value of implementing a solution.
  • Identify new data to be collected for measuring the success of new products and features, define KPIs, and work with engineering on tracking and instrumentation of data. Partner with data product teams to sustainably automate/enhance data.
  • Leverage descriptive statistics and AB Testing practices to determine best path for optimization
  • Analyze and explore clickstream and other data in a Hadoop ecosystem. Design and build self-service dashboards using a mixture of analytical and visualization techniques to derive actionable insight from data to influence business and product decisions
  • Mentor other analysts, educating them on standards and best practices and providing processes and guidelines to ensure consist delivery.
  • Democratize data and insights by delivering self-service tools to your partners that enable them to accelerate informed decision-making.

About You/Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a technical or quantitative field; or strong equivalent digital product analyst experience
  • 6+ years of work experience in analytics, consulting, product, or engineering, in digital and/or retail
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL experience writing complex queries ideally with large volumes of data
  • Experience working with product managers and business leaders to develop product roadmaps and feature development, including measurement frameworks
  • Ability to identify and succinctly summarize roadblocks, constraints, and trade-offs, propose potential solutions, and drive toward resolution
  • Intellectually curious, high energy with a strong work ethic
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skill.
  • Experience in AB Testing methods, including statistical analysis. Prior experience with AB Testing tools such as Adobe Test and Target or Optimizely is helpful.
  • Experience in analytics tools such as: SQL, Excel, R, Hadoop/Hive, DOMO, Tableau or PowerBI, Python, Adobe or Google Analytics etc., javascript/tag management, or equivalent technologies
  • Additional consideration for candidates with experience creating attribution models to relate content and feature performance to user actions, behaviors and revenue.
  • Additional consideration for candidates with data science (regression, clustering, NLP, causal inference, advanced design of experiments) skills.

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target’s needs.  A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400-$153,700.
