This role is eligible to work out of any of our below North America office locations or is eligible for full-time remote work in one of our entities.

US office locations: Redwood City (HQ), Los Angeles, New York City

Additionally, Liftoff recently announced approved North American locations from which some employees may request to work from any city and county: California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington in the US, and Canada.

 

As a Machine Learning Engineer for the Creative ML team you will:

  • Own ML models are a part of a production decision-making system that has direct business impact. You will own a part of this system end-to-end, which includes state-of-art ML models and related engineering systems.
  • Adopt or build new technologies for training and serving ML models (e.g. support large models, increase developer velocity, etc)
  • Be a mentoring coach for team members and engineers from other teams.
  • Monitor latest ML research for practical ideas that the team could try.
  • Influence the roadmap for your team and potentially other teams.

Requirements: 

  • 8+ years of industry experience applying Machine Learning (including neural networks) to large scale problems.
  • Hands on experience with deep neural networks in production at scale.
  • Experience Recommender Systems 
  • Very strong engineering and coding skills.
  • Track record of strong execution and timely delivery of projects.
  • Sets ego aside in pursuit of finding the best solution, no matter where it comes from.
  • Experience with PyTorch, Spark a plus
  • B.S. or higher in Machine Learning, Math, Physics or similar. PhD a plus.
  • Experience with Adtech is a strong plus.

 

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for multiple levels:

SF Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles/Orange County: $215,000 - $260,000
Seattle/Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston: $200,000 - $240,000
All other cities and towns in our approved states: $185,000 - $225,000
