Machine Learning Operations Engineer

SailPoint is seeking a Machine Learning Operations Engineer (MLOps) who is passionate about building ML workflows and pipelines to help productize Data Science models at scale. You will be part of an agile team that is tasked with creating a Machine Learning platform and an automation suite that will enable other teams at SailPoint to build and productize their own machine learning models. 

Responsibilities

  • Create automation to automate the deployment of Data Science models on AWS SageMaker
  • Write batch and streaming jobs to fill our Feast feature store with data coming from our Snowflake cluster.
  • Create and use patterns that other teams will use in their own machine learning environments.
  • Help maintain a machine learning platform in production.
  • Help create CI/CD pipelines (in Jenkins/Cloudbees) so other teams can publish their own model to production.
  • Deliver efficient, maintainable, robust microservices.
  • Produce designs, rough estimates, and implement features based on product requirements.
  • Collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing.
  • Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and allow for continuous delivery.
  • Ensure that features are properly deployed into production and generate metrics.
  • Partner with 1 or more Application Teams to build and maintain resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS (software as a service) applications that meet established SLAs.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, management, and incident response.
  • Monitor site stability and performance and troubleshoot service issues.
  • Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production.
  • Must be willing to be part of an on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of general professional software development experience, with at least 2 years of experience with deploying Machine Learning models into production.
  • You must be familiar with Python, including working knowledge of standard libraries and design patterns.
  • Some experience in implementing and using RESTful APIs for an API-first application architecture.
  • Some experience building microservices and knowledge of microservice patterns.
  • Some experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Great communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with AWS Sagemaker
  • Experience with Continuous Delivery
  • Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Linux administration, and Linux debugging experience.
