We are hiring an experienced marketing strategist to drive this effort.
KEY OUTCOMES:
Primary Market Research: Mystery shopping, direct interviews and surveys, vendor management for larger research projects
Secondary Market Research: Trend monitoring, competitors and market dynamics
Data analysis and modeling: Experienced and adept at data mining and analysis of internal, industry and research data sets
Insights: Synthesize research into insights to drive meaningful internal and external efforts
Strong Presentation Skills: Work cross functionality, sharing insights with different audiences and clearly articulating findings to influence business strategy
Subject Matter Expert: Support the broader Agero team in client facing efforts with clear, crisp, competitive positioning, industry landscape and insights
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design, update and continuously refine research on industry landscape including competitors, technologies, and macro trends
Conduct primary market research to support strategic initiatives including survey design, interview guide development, interview stakeholders, mystery shopping etc.
Creative and out-of-the-box thinking to model, understand and reasonably estimate industry dynamics that can not be directly obtained from research
Assist in managing external research vendors and associated processes as required
Combine internal and external data with insights from third-party research and industry experts
Produce high quality, well structured reports and presentations that synthesize insights and support decision making
Provide ad-hoc competitive research summaries in support of business needs
Work with cross-functional teams to build research roadmap
Generate data driven models based on research and insights to better understand industry dynamics like profitability, cost structure, etc.
Scope and attend relevant industry events to build and maintain industry expertise
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
5+ years experience
Market research, competitive analysis experience
B2B experience required, B2B2C preferred
Analytical skills, extensive experience in Google Sheets/XLS, BI tools etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
