Teachable is on a mission to enable the transformative power of knowledge in our world. We generate revenue in two ways: (1) from monthly or annual subscription fees (SaaS) paid to us by our Creators for access to the platform; and (2) from transaction fees calculated as a percent of the value of courses and services sold by Creators through our platform. We currently support over 40,000 Creators who have collectively sold over $1 billion in courses and coaching on Teachable.

We're looking for an experienced marketing analyst to develop insights that will inform our marketing roadmap and drive growth. An ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing and running marketing analytics for a company in the consumer tech/saas space; and has a strong command and understanding of core performance concepts/metrics across various marketing specializations (e.g. paid/social, SEO, etc.) If you're a curious, tech-savvy person with a passion for using data to inform decisions, this could be the role for you!

You’ll report to the Director of Revenue Operations, and work alongside a team of analysts to drive strategy across the entire customer journey.

What You'll Do

    • Performance reporting - Design and build marketing reports/dashboards; develop, maintain, and improve dashboards to track key success metrics for the team and executive leadership.
    • Analysis - Provide reactive and proactive analysis to Marketing teams to help ensure we are achieving our planned goals, and run retroactive analysis on marketing campaigns, and present insights to the broader organization.
    • Testing  and optimization - Develop and support a digital marketing experimentation program; designing and guiding the measurement of A/B tests and funnel optimization to provide actionable takeaways.
    • Planning and budgeting - Track marketing spend and report on pacing vs budgets, identify trends in channel performance and provide the inputs for forecasting, and proactively identify growth opportunities for marketing budget allocation evolving from a holistic customer journey analysis.
    • Documentation - Strengthen alignment and understanding of marketing metrics, reduce redundancies, and improve business continuity by contributing to and maintaining our revenue ops knowledge base.

Qualifications

    • 4+ years of experience in data analysis in a marketing environment with a focus on digital and social platform performance measurement, revenue reporting, and business forecasting within consumer SaaS or closely related industries.
    • Expert/power-user of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and related platforms (Tag Manager, Optimize, et al.); with experience in tracking and measurement work in the digital space, including attribution frameworks and credit models.
    • Strong understanding of the main marketing channels such as Performance, SEO, Content, CRM, Paid Social/Search, Partnerships and how they connect and their interplay.
    • Knowledge in intermediate statistical analysis (e.g. funnels, cohort analysis, long-term trends, user segmentation, correlation, and regression models)Advanced SQL skills, experience working with business intelligence tools, and data warehouses (Redshift)Ability to answer complex questions and translate insights into actionable recommendations and communicate to leadership and non-data stakeholders.
    • Strong data presentation and visualization skills are a must.
    • Highly motivated self-starter. Flexible, adaptable, able to manage change and be productive.
    • Brings an entrepreneurial spirit with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude.
