About the Role 

Rocket Lawyer is seeking an experienced, passionate Data Architect who wants to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be working with talented department heads, engineering leaders, SMEs, developers and analysts and be responsible for developing and guiding our data strategy. You will be delivering high quality data models that will be used for our ML and AI applications. In addition to having strong technical skills, you will have strong business acumen. 

You will play a key role in providing product owners and executives the data they need to make intelligent decisions.

A Day in the Life

    • Analyze Rocket Lawyer data and determine how it is used across all products and across the organization
    • Design data architecture to effectively use available data for enhancing business decisions and improving customer experience
    • Assess and advocate data management technologies and practices to eliminate gaps between the current state and a well-targeted future state
    • Interpret and deliver strategic plans improving data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps
    • Formulate and articulate architectural trade-offs across solution options before recommending an optimal solution ensuring technical requirements are met
    • Advise teams of data engineers and other technical team members through design, implementation and best practices

Required Experience

    • Implementing a variety of on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytical technologies.
    • Communicating with non-technical executives on the value of investing in modern enterprise level data solutions.
    • Designing and implementing modern data architectures and concepts with cloud services such as GCP or AWS, real-time data distribution such as Kafka or Google Pub/Sub, and modern data warehouse tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery or RedShift.
    • Designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions including ingestion, storage and relational modeling.
    • Thinking strategically and relating architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs and client culture.
    • Using existing data to make decisions by creating a machine learning system and using artificial intelligence to improve customer experience.
    • Leading enterprise engineering teams through implementations serving as POC on design decisions and best practices.
    • Recommending data governance best practices including MDM, security, privacy and policies.

    • GCP

Estimated Salary Range for Colorado candidates: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
