Title: Product Analyst

Overview:
As a Product Data Analyst at Cleo, you get to use your quantitative skill set, dedication, and collaborative spirit to work closely with our Product team to provide data driven insights. You will play a critical role in advancing how we impact our members, personalize their experience as well as measure the outcomes of our impact. Cleo leverages our platform and provides the most impactful support at the right time to our new parents to support them in their journey of growing a family; it has an amazing opportunity to be enhanced with the power of data. This role reports to the Director of Strategy and Analytics.

You must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. You must be based in the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. Please be advised that Cleo does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship for this position at this time.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Drive the full cycle of analytics: requirement gathering, data collection, data modeling, visualization, analysis, and actionable insights
    • Identify issues, develop hypotheses, and execute in-depth analyses to translate data into actionable insights and make recommendations to the internal partners
    • Enable our organization to continue to be highly data-driven as we scale by performing ad hoc analyses, conducting research, and building reports and KPI dashboards for real-time monitoring of performance
    • Work closely with the Product team to understand their analytical needs, including identifying critical success metrics, and KPIs and deliver actionable insights to support achieving business strategy
    • Structure complex and ambiguous strategic problems
    • Monitor key performance metrics, understanding root causes of changes in metrics

To be successful in this role, you may have:

    • 4+ years of experience working with data to shape business decisions
    • Experience as a generalist within data analysis, data visualization, data engineering and data science
    • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills including talent for conducting research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations
    • Experience with SQL to pull, join, and analyze data across disparate sources
    • Experience with reporting and visualization platforms (Tableau preferred, but not required)
    • Exposure to data science concepts with R, Python, or other scripting languages
    • Understanding of experimental design (such as A/B experiments) statistical concepts like regression, probability, etc.
    • Comfort with being able to communicate findings and recommendations to internal partners in a team setting
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in business analytics, computer science, engineering, economics, or similar technical discipline preferred
    • An eagerness to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced startup environment
