Modernizing Medicine is hiring an experienced Data Product Manager to execute innovative approaches in the pursuit of data solutions for our clients. 

As a Product Owner for Financial Analytics at Modernizing Medicine, you will be working in a collaborative, energetic, dynamic, and creative environment to drive the delivery of market-leading data and analytics products for our emerging and existing healthcare products and services.

What Impact you’ll have:

  • Execute. You’ll drive the development of new analytics and data-driven products that benefit our practice management (PM), pay, and revenue cycle management (RCM) users and utilize expansive datasets by working cross-functionally across specialties and product offerings.
  • Partner. You will work with product and clients to refine our financial analytics suite and build a strong partnership and pulse on what is impactful to support from market needs while also ensuring our current offering meets and exceeds our clients expectations.
  • Advocate. You will advocate the near term product strategy for developing the to market needs. Create a strong feedback loop internally and externally to continue to identify opportunities to grow the product suite.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Translate the Product Manager’s roadmap (epics) into clearly defined feature sets & requirements, establishing goals and priorities per release
  • Work with the Product Managers to maintain the Product Roadmap and help determine the sequence of features that should be developed and released to customers
  • Groom and prioritize backlog and product requests from multiple sources to deliver the most value to the organization
  • Represent the ‘Voice of the Customer’ internally, serving as the internal subject matter expert for the development team

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or extensive demonstrated experience in healthcare finance
  • Ability to work eastern or central business hours (required) and travel domestically on a quarterly basis
  • 3-5 years experience in healthcare financial and/or revenue cycle management (RCM) business intelligence and analytics with progressively increasing responsibility
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; able to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies
  • Experience with one or more of the following: SQL, business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Looker) and/or other analytical tools to derive data-driven decisions, insights, and storytelling
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex concepts for a non-technical audience
  • Experience collaborating with an extended product team and data engineering to support the build out of appropriate data sets
  • Basic knowledge of finance and statistics (ROI, NPV, Risk, etc.)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, executives, partners, and clients

Set yourself apart:

  • Ability to transform data into exception-driven, actionable information through trending, comparisons to goals and norms, and drill-downs to highlight point problems versus systemic issues, and other graphic representations
  • Healthcare Analytics (financial, clinical & operational analytics) background specifically
    • Previous experience analyzing incoming and outgoing revenue sources and measuring different financial cycles such as payer trends for edits, rejects, and denials of claims using metric-driven methodologies and a variety of data analytic tools
    • Previous experience  performing developing and analyzing reports regarding payor reimbursement patterns, underpayment, and overpayment, RVUs relative to payment trends, and the ongoing evaluation of opportunities for improvement to capture billing and collection operations
