About DeansList

At DeansList, we build exceptional software that empowers schools and educators to be successful. Our SaaS platform streamlines day-to-day school operations to improve productivity and increase transparency - so every educator has the actionable info they need to help every student succeed.

Our clients include many of the most innovative schools in underserved communities, mission-driven to closing the Achievement Gap. We focus beyond academics and make tools that make it easy to build strong relationships with families, reduce absenteeism, and create a positive, joyful school culture. We are as passionate about helping schools and students as the educators we serve are and we pride ourselves on going above and beyond to support their constantly-evolving needs.

DeansList is a portfolio company of Imagine K12 (YC’s education vertical). Our team is a close-knit group of former educators and technologists passionate about helping students and educators succeed.

This Role

We are growing our small but mighty Data Team to help our schools address all of their data-related needs. As a Reporting and Data Associate, you’ll help school leaders answer their most pressing data questions, translate report requests into concrete specifications and designs, and learn to build reports for schools using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

At DeansList, we give educators the tools to collect data efficiently and use it effectively. We believe that access to data helps educators make decisions about how best to support their students and that providing families with information about student performance and progress opens lines of communication and builds trust.

Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-directed learner with excellent communication skills, empathy for K-12 educators, and an affinity for data and technology. We are looking for applicants who are committed to helping schools use data to affirm all students and who love diving into the details of a project, no matter how granular.

Working alongside a group of passionate educators and technology enthusiasts, you’ll help shape the way we support school leaders in their use of data and build reports that reach students and families across the country.
