The Product:
Trends is The Hustle's first consumer subscription product. Trends exists to help our entrepreneurial audience start and grow their businesses.

Each week, our team of analysts interviews industry experts, scours the web for data, and surveys our audience. The goal? Create reports that uncover various gaps in the market that entrepreneurs can capitalize on tomorrow.


Job Description:

As a Trends analyst, you will dive deep into data that uncovers gaps in various markets. Then, using your research, you'll create reports that detail industry insights, case studies, and actionable tactics.

You'll work with an editor to convert your findings into an easily-digestible resource that entrepreneurs will use to understand and capitalize on emerging markets.

You should be a skilled researcher with solid writing chops, and the ability to convert data points into a detailed narrative.

A background in research, commerce, and/or economics is highly desired.


Responsibilities:

- Uncover research and data points surrounding various market gaps
- Identify key takeaways that will appeal to an entrepreneurial audience
- Use your findings to create reports that cover market trends, case studies, tactical strategies, possible downsides, and takeaways.
- Deliver reports regularly and with respect to agreed upon deadlines
- Work alongside a team lead and co-analyst to troubleshoot as needed
- Update existing reports as new information becomes available


Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 1+ year of experience in a research role
- Self-motivated, curious, analytical, and data-driven
- Excellent research and data analysis skills
- Ability to articulate complicated topics into an easily comprehensible narrative
- Ability to identify and communicate key takeaways
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and computer skills
