Your role:

As a Gooten Sales & Operations Planning Analyst, you will join the Supply Chain Operations team on the ground floor to become a critical supporting resource to Gooten’s growth. You will build out and support processes and workflows that support both internal and external stakeholders. We’re looking for a critical thinker who can take the lead in our efforts to unify and expand our forecasting and demand planning operations. You will be responsible for building operational forecasts that connect supply chain capabilities to the company’s financial and strategic growth plans. You will work with multiple different partners to understand future business goals and translate them into expected volume flows throughout Gooten’s network.

Some of the efforts and projects you will be working on are: managing new planning processes, creating forecasts for many stakeholders, building out new and existing tools to gain efficiencies, and responding to needs as deemed necessary by the Director of Supply Chain Operations.

How you'll power eCommerce:

  • Serve as the Gooten subject matter expert for our demand planning software to create, manage, and generate forecasts. You will be required to understand forecasting methodologies, and learn and use a detailed forecasting system to continually drive towards higher forecast accuracy. You will develop SKU-level financial and operational forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
  • Manage the Sales and Operations Planning process internally. This cycle will have you working closely with internal stakeholders to collaborate on projected sales volumes, vendor capacity and inventory constraints, and margin and routing considerations.
  • Refine systems and methods to continually improve forecasts so that Gooten and the network can better anticipate customer demands.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to overhaul the process whereby Gooten receives, stores, and uses key forecast elements, including: vendor capacity information, customer sales volume projections, forecasted data elements, vendor allocation details, and S&OP data points.
  • Work closely with internal Data and Technology teams to manage and update Gooten’s Master Data System, including elements such as costs, SKU mappings, and product hierarchies.
  • Support our Peak season planning with detailed data analysis, daily and weekly forecasts, and other KPIs that will drive operational efficiency.
  • Learn and use multiple internal tools to gain visibility into our operations, sharing analytics with other internal teams and stakeholders in various formats regularly.
  • Serve as a benefit to internal teams regarding ad-hoc data analysis questions, surfacing insights and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with industry leaders and market reports to understand market trends that play a factor into creating accurate forecasts.
  • Proactively find new opportunities to provide value to Gooten’s customers and vendors by aligning on the long-term Supply Chain Team’s vision and priorities with senior management.

You should have:

  • 2+ years demonstrated results in supply chain management or demand planning.
  • 2 to 4 years of related planning experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience as a demand planner or forecasting agent, with an understanding of forecasting practices and procedures..
  • Expertise with statistical and analytical tools that drive business decisions; examples include Excel and Data-Visualization tools (IE Tableau).
  • Experience working with detailed product line forecasts and familiarity with the sales and operations planning process (S&OP).
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage up to your lead, communicating information before it’s been requested or identifying when out-of-cycle updates make sense.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with the team members, as well as critical stakeholders across Gooten to understand our current operating environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
