Slack is looking for a strategic, results oriented Sr. Analyst with strong analytical and operational experience to join the Global Sales Strategy team. The Global Sales Strategy team works closely with executives and cross-functional partners to drive large-scale impact and transformation across the GTM engine of Slack. In this role, you will help define, shape, and deliver on GTM initiatives, providing the analytical horsepower and actionable insights required for successful execution.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, a natural strategic thinker and highly proficient with using data to answer business-critical questions. They will be comfortable and effective working on highly cross-functional efforts, with a focus on Sales and a lens into Marketing, Customer Success, Business Systems, and Finance.They will demonstrate strong communication skills and have the ability to perform professionally in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing

  • Help to define and drive strategic sales priorities in partnership with the global sales leadership team
  • Assist in reporting and operationalizing key performance metrics, developing reporting tools and dashboards to help drive insights and action
  • Frame and break down complex problems into key components; derive insights and provide actionable recommendations to drive tangible business outcomes
  • Identify inefficiencies, implement change management solutions, and track progress through planning, process, and tool improvements
  • Assist with quarterly and monthly analyses in support of Slack’s sales management team
  • Assist with quarterly and annual planning processes with a focus on go-to-market strategy, resource allocation and Sales territory design
  • Special projects and analytical support to senior sales strategy leaders as needed

What you should have

  • At least 5 years of Consulting or Investment Banking experience or relevant Strategy / BizOps experience in a technology company
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to frame business problems, design and execute analyses to inform solutions, and communicate insights with a bias towards action
  • Ability to work with, organize, validate, query, and manipulate large data sets within multiple reporting environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience building strong internal and external relationships
  • Effective, clear, and concise communication skills, verbal and written
  • Expert proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and/or G Suite,
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Salesforce, Looker, SQL, Anaplan preferred
  • SaaS experience preferred
