Senior Analytics Engineer

Data drives strategic decision-making. At AuditBoard, we are building a modern data analytics platform to support advanced analytics across all components of connected risk management. The successful candidate will partner with product leaders, data engineers, and analytics experts to enable strategic data solutions leveraging our modern data stack of Snowflake, dbt & Fivetran. The ideal candidate is a bold, driven & engaged engineer who is energized by a challenge, thrives in a culture of innovation, and succeeds through gritty resilience.  Here is a sample of things you’ll get to do:

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clean data sets to end users, modeling data in a way that empowers end users to answer their questions and enables unprecedented data visualization development velocity.
  • Create automated, scalable, purpose-driven data pipelines that enable practical, actionable analytics.
  • Oversee the administration, operations, and optimization, of enterprise data management technologies and infrastructure, including data pipelines, data warehouse, and BI/data visualization assets. 
  • Define, test, and deploy well-documented data transformations, analytics modeling, and data quality best practices. 
  • Create visual, actionable, and impactful data products using BI and other visualization tools.
  • Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available.
  • Ensure continued compliance with applicable regulatory and contractual requirements for data security and privacy. 

Attributes for a Successful Candidate: 

  • 5+ years of combined data analytics, data engineering, and data governance experience.
  • 5+ years supporting business intelligence & analytics development at enterprise scale.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with our tech stack: Snowflake, dbt & Fivetran.  
  • Data warehousing and ETL: Expert level knowledge of SQL and high proficiency with dbt & Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousing technology.  Deep experience with building low latency, complex data transformations at scale.
  • Strong Business Intelligence expertise across multiple tools including Power BI.
  • Database management and data modeling skills: Design, develop, and deploy well-documented data models that improve performance and enable faster visualization development time.
  • Efficient problem-solving and analytical skills: Able to analyze data effectively and troubleshoot data issues as they arise.
  • Strong programming capabilities: Apply software engineering best practices like version control and continuous integration to the analytics code base.
  • Demonstrated initiative, strong sense of accountability, collaboration, and known as a trusted partner.
