While you don’t need to have experience with all of these tools to be qualified, strong SQL proficiency is a must. Experience with dbt and/or Looker are big pluses.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will be working closely with clients, data engineering and analytics teams to gather requirements, develop data models and transform into clean data sets for BI and Analytics users. 

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with clients to gather requirements on projects, understand current systems and data models and map to BI and Analytics use cases.
• Design, develop and maintain data models and data transformations using dbt.
• Audit and test models and queries to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
• Design and implement schema and data tests for critical datasets.
• Help to define and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale data infrastructure.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers by guiding and providing feedback to help them grow.
