Position Description

The Senior Analytics Manager is responsible for helping drive and empower a data-driven culture at Eleanor Health by building and continuously improving Eleanor's data, reporting, and analytics capabilities. Leading a small but highly effective analytics team as player-coach, you will work closely with the Executive team and key stakeholders to answer pressing questions that will drive deeper understanding of Eleanor’s clinical model and clinical and operational execution. You will ensure that Eleanor has the ability to securely ingest, transform, and transmit data within our own systems or to/from external parties while ensuring the privacy of patient or other sensitive data entrusted to the Eleanor team. You will build out the analytics infrastructure, software, and data models to bring “self-service” analytics to Eleanor Health, so all functions can explore and learn from the data anytime they need to. You will help develop and publish novel insights derived from Eleanor's data and work across teams to automate manual tasks and drive workflows that support data-driven decision making including 

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Working with Senior Leadership to drive a data- driven decision-making culture to harness the power of our data
  • Defining an analytics strategy, standards and protocols that will deliver critical insights to meet current clinical and operational needs while laying the foundation for more advanced capabilities such as predictive analytics and expert systems as the company evolves
  • Driving continuous improvement and automation for secure data ingestion and exchange with payers and other key external partners 
  • Creating end to end analytics solutions to provide opportunities for growth/scaling of the business
  • Ensuring that the data engineering environment is robust and fit for purpose
  • Leading the efforts to deliver data-driven insights and solutions
  • Defining and implementing best practice, essential processes, removing barriers, and sourcing data from all areas of the organization in support of critical business challenges and/or decisions.
  • Conceiving, planning and prioritizing analytics team projects
  • Aligning analytics team projects with organizational goals
  • Developing a self service analytics platform and dashboards  that can be easily used by all Eleanor teams.
  • Being hands on … while this is a leadership role, it is a small team and the Senior Analytics Manager will also own their own portfolio of projects.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing team of data analysts and analytics engineers to enable company and personal growth and performance goals

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to provide direction, build scalable structure and get stuff done in a fast paced startup environment with frequently shifting needs and priorities 
  • Proficient in managing business data and deriving valuable analysis insights
  • Extensive experience in leading analytical projects within a healthcare context
  • Experience with diverse data and analytics stacks and organizational structures
  • Skilled in developing efficient self-service analytics platforms, data marts/sets, and dashboards and designing effective data models
  • Ability to identify data requirements during project design phase
  • Possess an analytical mindset and strong healthcare acumen, delivering strategically important insights
  • Expert in contemporary data tools/languages such as Python, SQL, and dbt
  • Familiarity selecting and implementing cloud native data services, particularly using Google Cloud 
  • Experience in user analytics tracking, such as Google Analytics and Mixpanel
  • Proficient in building, developing, and maintaining complex data models
  • Exceptional presentation skills, capable of delivering complex insights to various audiences; familiarity with BigQuery and Mode is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in hiring and developing culturally aligned analytics teams

Preferred:

  • Experience in Behavioral Health or SUD environment with understanding of the additional data security requirements imposed by 42 CFR Part II
