This position is responsible for….

The Senior Data Analyst position reports through Financial Planning and Analysis department but will function as a shared resource to business functions throughout Breg.  He/she supports operations and conducts data analytics projects to provide information and insights to stakeholders for decision-making or solution development. The Senior Data Analyst implements data standards and deploys automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform data into usable metrics. He/she utilizes scripting and querying tools like Python, R or SQL, data visualization/BI tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports, data files, and dashboards. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and requirements. The position has high visibility and will require interaction with senior levels of our organization.

Your day will be very busy… you will:

  • Interprets data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Structures large data sets to find usable information needed to support corporate vision.
  • Develops and implements databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases and systems.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Collaborates with IT team members to collect and analyze data to improve analysis.
  • Works with analysts throughout the organization and other associates to process information.
  • Partners with executives and other business leaders to identify and resolve data weaknesses.
  • Creates reports for internal teams and external clients.
  • Establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure the effectiveness of business decisions and identify variances.
  • Creates presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.

What your background will be:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, or related quantitative field is required. MBA or equivalent highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques required.
  • Experience using querying tools like Python, R or SQL and data visualization tools like Power BI required.
  • Computer proficient to include MS project, web browser/internet search, MS Outlook, MS Office, Vlookup, pivot tables, advanced Excel skills and the ability to produce presentation-ready slides in PowerPoint. Technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS) required.
  • Adept at report writing and presenting findings; comfortable presenting information to all levels using graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data and create a vision required.

Salary Range

$110,000.00 - $125,000.00
