About the team & Opportunity:

Quartet is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to specialize in building out customer-facing reports and contributing to the maintenance and improvement of our analytics data models. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding and passion for data, robust experience writing code and drafting reports, and possesses the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.

In this role, you will be responsible for a portion of Quartet's customer reporting from end to end. This includes gathering and translating requirements into reporting solutions through use of SQL and our BI tool, Looker, and providing quality assurance and review of other analysts’ code. This role will also have the opportunity to present reports and insights to customers on occasion, as well as to Quartet’s senior leadership. This role will also be responsible for collecting feedback and iterating reporting products to foster continuous improvement.

This position requires outstanding analytical and communication skills. It also requires the ability to collaborate with a wide variety of colleagues, as you will be working cross-functionally with Quartet teams such as Product, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Customer Success / Market Operations.

The Senior Data Analyst will work alongside other Analysts and Analytics Engineers, and will report to the leader of the Business Intelligence / Customer Analytics team.

Accountabilities:

  • Improve upon our data reporting by collecting feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • Improve data quality of reporting though tests, refactoring, and reviews
  • Create documentation for technical and nontechnical teams on reporting definitions and how to use the reports
  • Present reports and analytics to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Own business definitions sourced through our data pipeline

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in SQL (preferably in a daily capacity) 
  • Experience creating customer/external-facing reports
  • Experience with data visualization tools / BI platforms (e.g., Tableau or Looker)
  • Experience working with stakeholders (ideally customers) to understand business problems and map abstract problems to data that can be used to solve them
  • Experience working with version control such as Git

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT)
  • Experience working with Healthcare Data, Health Insurance Plans, or Health Systems
  • Looker / LookML experience
  • Experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines
  • Experience in R or Python
  • Experience with the UNIX command line
