The Team

Job Description

Work closely with the company’s CTO to architect highly-performant, reliable, and scalable end-to-end data products that will be used by thousands of Amazon sellers. Build high performance data pipelines by working with both structured and unstructured data. Write production level, maintainable code in Python and SQL. Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data solutions. Build ETL/ELT pipelines to process data. Design data models for optimal storage and query performance. Develop security and backup procedures. Work cross-functionally with data scientists, back end engineers, and product managers to identify future needs and requirements. Mentor junior engineers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience working as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or other relevant data-focused Software Engineering position. Employer will accept pre- and post-Master’s degree experience. Experience must be post-Bachelor’s degree.
  • Work experience to include: (1) 4 years of experience in relevant software engineering. (2) 4 years of experience managing a team of engineers. (3) Utilizing Python, SQL, Relational Databases, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL. (4) Building, monitoring, and maintaining fully custom data pipelines. (5) Building role-based dashboard implementations and report generation. (6) Working with data visualization tool: Google Charts. (7) Writing data validation and schema tests. (8) Gathering and analyzing system requirements.
