As a Data Scientist at Carbon Health, you will partner closely with various teams to deliver high-impact data products, drive actions by providing visibility into the state of care and operations, and implement and evangelize reliable data processing and interpretation practices. Given Carbon’s focus on healthcare accessibility, this role offers one of the rarest opportunities to apply data science on unique and evolving datasets to solve real problems at scale, reaching over a million patients.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Collaborate with orgs such as Engineering, Product, Design, Support, Operations, Finance, and Marketing.
    • You will have the opportunity to deeply understand entire product lines.
    • Architect and implement efficient data warehouse models and semantic layers with query optimizations in mind.
    • Define performance metrics and conduct experiments to drive business goals across Primary, Urgent, and Virtual Care, delighting our patients, providers, payers, and employers. 
    • Work closely with Machine Learning, Data Engineering, and Data Analyst teams to build and deploy innovative models end-to-end, serving products such as our in-house Clinical Decision Support System.
    • Communicate results of analyses in a clear and actionable way to stakeholders.
    • Foster a culture of learning within the organization; demonstrate a strong team-player mentality to cultivate cross-functional collaborations.

ABOUT YOU

    • 5+ years of experience in data science, data analytics, statistics, operations research, capacity building, or equivalent quantitative field.
    • Prior experience in healthcare is preferred.
    • Proficiency in SQL and Python data processing (pandas, sklearn).
    • Experience with development tools and platforms such as dbt, Jupyter Notebook, Snowflake, Looker, AWS.
