Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to help us create the best healthcare worker experience on our platform. You will work cross-functionally to solve problems and shape the understanding of our marketplace and customer experience through insights, experimentation, data products and much more.

  • Collaborate with Product and Operations to identify high-priority analytical problems and develop innovative solutions using data.
  • Conduct exploratory and causal analysis, statistical modeling, and metric development to provide insights for informed decision-making.
  • Deliver data insights through dashboards, self-service reporting, presentations, and memos. Translate insights into actionable recommendations for senior management.
  • Participate in designing and executing marketplace experiments, including analysis and publication of findings.
  • Track and analyze weekly performance data to provide recommendations for business operations.
  • Work proactively to cultivate strong stakeholder relationships and identify opportunities for insights to validate and test hypotheses, lead to new impactful outcomes or initiatives, and shape data-driven projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams from engineering, product, design, operations, and finance to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights and analyses.
  • Promote and nurture a culture of data literacy and experimentation excellence across the team.

You might be the one we're looking for if you have:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Data Scientist or related quantitative analytics role, preferably in a high-growth environment with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights and quantifiable impact on key business metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, BI tools like Metabase, Lightdash (bonus points if you’re a Hex wizard)
  • Deep understanding of statistical analysis, modeling, and experimental design, including assessing statistical significance and effect size, account for confounders, causal inference and Bayesian Statistics
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize, simplify and explain complex problems to different types of audience with varied technical skills
  • Experience in prioritizing and balancing quick iterations with rigor, while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
