Senior Data Scientist for Risk

We're looking for a top-tier Senior Data Scientist to help us extract, manipulate, analyze, and interpret data. You’ll play a key role in growing a business through your insights, and you’ll help shape the way a revolutionary new technology is introduced to and adopted by new audiences.

What we'll accomplish together:
- Explore, learn and grow Dapper Lab's capacity to mitigate risk in the exciting new world of blockchain and NFTs.
- Develop effective data approaches that improve user experience across all areas of our product, including customer onboarding, risk, and deliver insights to stakeholders.
- Analyze customer behaviors, rule effectiveness, risk strategies, fraud and money laundering patterns with the goal of building and refining automated risk rules.
- Able to identify red flags, suspicious activity, investigate patterns / typologies and work on appropriate solutions from our 'big data' warehouse and disparate external data sources.
- Work in a cross-functional team that overlaps product, marketing, engineering and Trust & Safety.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable building relationships across organizations and articulating facts to a diverse audience.
A little about you:
- Bachelor's degree OR Master's degree in a technical discipline with 5+ year track record of relevant experience.
- Professional experience leveraging heuristic methods and data science approaches (eg., predictive modeling) to solve problems.
- Crafty data wrangler with experience working with data engineers and cloud technology (GCP, AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Data storyteller with ability to present a compelling narrative surrounding data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, advisory and communication experience.
- Proficiency in Python or R with solid coding skills + top notch mastery with SQL.
- Any blockchain, crypto, financial institution or payment industry experience would be an asset.
