As a Senior Data Scientist your responsibilities will be focused on the preparation, maintenance, analysis, and visualization of all Marketing related data sources that BlockFi currently has, or will have in the future. You will be expected to not only meet your direct, day-to-day responsibilities, but also assist with helping to shape the future of BlockFi Analytics. We are looking for a self-starter, who can quickly & efficiently execute on tasks in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with various ad-hoc projects ranging from client analysis, business analysis, investor reporting, and internal KPI tracking
• Organize and reconcile large amounts of data to ensure timely, and accurate reporting while delivering a top notch client experience
• Aggregate and clean large amounts of data from multiple sources including internal data warehouse and third party marketing platforms
• Build and maintain LTV models, attribution models, and a framework for cohort segmentation and analysis
• Partner with growth team to build an experimentation framework to allow statistically significant A/B testing, analysis, and reporting at scale
• Review data for discrepancies among systems to ensure back-end data matches client-facing data
• Create and maintain documentation on key internal data processes that helps to enable the team to train new team members, detail existing obscure data pipelines, and lay the foundation for automation
• Assist the Marketing, Engineering and Product teams in the maintenance of current databases and warehouses, while seeking opportunities for efficiency and automation
• Provide guidance to the organization surrounding how current processes, and changes to those processes will effect Reporting/Data Science in the short term, and long term
• Have an eye for detail and ensure all work has appropriate checks / controls in place to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our reports
• Be a self starter that finds opportunities for development and can deliver solutions with minimal oversight
• Recognize that no job is too small and egos must not delay deliverables
• Display intellectual curiosity and seek opportunities for personal and professional improvement

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL (Advanced), Python (Data Science libraries are a plus), Tableau (Or similar BI tools), Data modeling for Reporting (Relational DB and Warehouses), Excel/Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, and Reporting ETL automation
• Previous professional experience within a high growth, fast paced, Marketing department. (Larger startup experienced is a bonus)
• Experience in building and maintaining Marketing Analytics infrastructure from the ground up is a plus
• Experience measuring incrementality of both online and offline marketing programs as well as measuring brand impact on business metrics
• A degree in a technical field such as Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or similar field
• Direct experience managing Business Intelligence deliverables (Analysis and Visualizations), experience with predictive analytics using Machine Learning is a plus
• 5+ years of direct Marketing professional experience
• Excellent problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently without need for constant oversight
• Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities
• High attention to detail
• Adaptable to various environments and sudden changes
• Ability to embrace new technology, applications and solutions
• Desire to often work with people as well as be a self-motivated team player
