What You’ll Own: As a Senior Director, Data Governance, you will:

  • Directs and controls multiple functions, organizations, locations, products and/or technical disciplines. Is responsible for the long-term strategic planning for their areas of responsibility, often having P&L responsibility. May manage senior managers, managers, and sometimes professional individual contributors.
  • Maintain the relevance and accuracy of metadata within the Enterprise Data Governance information System
  • Be accountable for the adoption and implementation of the Worldpay Governed Data Product (GDP) capability for all required data products
  • Provide regular reporting on Enterprise Data Governance KPIs, metrics, and activities
  • Lead, evolve, and scale the data governance framework including managing the relevant objectives, approach, processes, policies, technology, and procedures
  • Drive data governance adoption through stakeholder consultation and trainings (i.e. RegU, Lunch and Learns, playbooks)
  • Works with cross-discipline teams to understand privacy, legal, and ethical considerations in the use of artificial intelligence/machine learning and analytics
  • Demonstrate proactive thought-leadership by actively keeping up to date on industry trends and developments by making recommendations for areas of opportunity and improvement
  • Act as the point of contact for Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business Data Stewards and Technical Data Stewards for data quality and governance related questions/concerns
  • Write documentation including data governance workflows, standards, guidelines, taxonomies, operating procedures, and corporate data policies.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Data Architecture, Statistics, Decision Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Economics or Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Data analysis skills with experience using enterprise tools such as Informatica IDQ, Informatica MDM, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog, Informatica Axon, Collibra, and other metadata management tools.
  • Deep understanding of global Data Privacy Regulation (i.e. GDPR, CCPA), local data-centric regulations (i.e. SOX, GLBA), and industry best practices (i.e. AI Ethics, PII, DCAM, IAPP and PCI credentials and certifications)
  • Ability to build relationships and credibility across the organization
  • High-level understanding artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science concepts, methodology, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience working on data and analytical processes, interacting, and collaborating with Technology teams in development and implementation of solutions to enable data governance capabilities, mitigate risks, and drive awareness and adoption data governance policies and standards across all data users.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with data governance as a practice, including enterprise data management, data quality, data lineage, meta data management, data methodologies, data analytics and reporting, and the ethical use of data and artificial intelligence (AI).

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience working in a high-volume transactional environment.
  • Previous experience in payments/fintech is preferred but not essential.

Worldpay is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $171,910.00 - $288,820.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
