Position Summary
The Marketing Analyst will research, organize, and analyze data to recommend products, promotions and target audiences, as well as, identify relevant trends in the higher-education market. Utilize web analytics, data automation, analytics reporting, data visualization, digital media optimization, and search engine optimization strategies across multiple media modalities for National University (NU) and its affiliates. Determine the impact of current and future marketing initiatives through quantitative data and research. Work with partners to ensure NU has access to reporting and data to drive analysis and strategy for campaigns and marketing channels.
Essential Functions:
- Researches and analyzes data to recommend new products and services to target audiences and generate business development opportunities based on audience requirements.
- Evaluates, identifies and reports on emerging trends in the online and higher-education industry with relevancy of services based on specific demographics and behaviors; executes digital strategies based on analysis.
- Creates graphs, reports, dashboards and presents data analysis results to senior management with recommendations and potential impact.
- Constructs dashboard visualization techniques to articulate the data to easily understood stories.
- Executes pre and post marketing campaign analysis, spike and dip analysis and other analytics as necessary and determines the campaign Return-On-Investment (ROI).
- Corroborates data integrity by ensuring website tracking is meticulous and complete; analyzing and reporting on website performance across different channels.
- Manages and plans conversion rate optimization tests and reports results with strategic recommendations.
- Data Integrity: Ensure website tracking is thorough and complete.
- Manages relationships with third party vendors and partners as well as NUS affiliate partners to ensure NUS has access to data warehouses and data sources.
- Develops new insights into situations; questions conventional approaches; encourages new ideas and innovations; designs and implements new or cutting-edge programs/processes. Ability to generate and/or recognize imaginative or creative solutions that generate successful outcomes.
- Maintain full funnel data pipeline to ensure marketing department has access to data

Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, required; and, four (4) years relevant experience in digital marketing, web analytics or business intelligence platforms at an agency level; higher-education experience, preferred; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4+ year experience in digital marketing.
- 2-4+ year experience with web analytics platforms (SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends.)
- 2-4+ year experience with business intelligence platforms (Tableau, DOMO, Birst, Microsoft Power BI).
- Experience working at an agency preferred.
- Experience in higher education is a plus.
- Experience in SEO, PPC, or email marketing is a plus.
Competencies/Technical/Functional Skills:
- Ability to own all data aspects of a digital media campaign: developing key metrics, tagging, testing, reporting, and analysis
- Aptitude to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports and design and implement systems necessary to collect, consolidate and analyze data. Knowledge of research methodology, principles and procedures. Understand data visualization and data flow.
- Strong understanding of Google Analytics; Demonstrated ability to create reports from Google Analytics
- Advanced use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Impeccable attention to detail and follow-up.
- Ability to maintain working relationships and be the main point of contact for all data and analytics related projects and inquiries for multiple affiliates.
- Working knowledge of Conversion Rate Optimization and website best practices.
- Ability to get things done through existing production processes; help improve existing processes; identify need or new processes; improve efficiencies.
- Must have experience in developing effective working relationships within both large and small organizational teams.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency. Compensation Range:
Annual Salary: $63,720.00 - $86,020.00
