The Role:

As a product analyst at Peek you will work closely with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders to deliver data and insights derived from Peek’s core SaaS platforms. An ideal candidate for this position has a track record of using more advanced analytical techniques to help deliver business outcomes.

This role reports to the Director of Product Analytics.

Please note: This role is remote contingent upon your time zone being in-line with the greater USA. If you are located in the U.S, we require existing U.S. work authorization. Peek is not sponsoring new visas at this time.

Responsibilities:

    • Provide support to customers with complex data issues by delivering custom data solutions.
    • Define, track and explain key metrics and trends across all product domains.
    • Find new product opportunities that drive business outcomes using appropriate analytic techniques 
    • Acquire, organize, measure, and interpret data from primary or secondary data sources to support analytic initiatives.
    • Responsible for the stewardship and governance of assigned product-related data.
    • Work closely with data and software engineering to drive the expansion of Peek’s internal data warehouse and data marts.
    • Participate in the analytics community at Peek by mentoring others, sharing best practices, participating in analytics forums, etc.
    • Share analytical findings to the larger organization through written documentation or live presentations.
    • Assist in the preparation and delivery of analytics projects

Requirements:

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • 3+ years of experience working deriving insight from large, semi-structured datasets as a product or data analyst in a SaaS software organization.
    • 3+ years of experience writing SQL against large and complex data sets.
    • 3+ years of experience working with web and mobile analytics platforms such as MixPanel, Google Analytics, Heap, Pendo, etc.
    • 3+ years of experience working with data analytics/visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc (3+ years)
    • Experience working with analytical (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc) and transactional databases (Postgres, MySQL, etc)

Personal Attributes:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • An affinity for explaining product complexity with ease to different stakeholders
    • Comfortable working in a remote environment

Nice to Haves:

    • Experience with data transformation tools E.g. DBT, Python or R
    • Experience with Machine Learning libraries using Python
    • Experience with a/b or multivariate testing
    • Experience in travel and activity space is helpful but not required
    • Experience working within agile development teams

Physical/Mental Requirements:

    • Work on a computer an average of six hours per day
    • Extended periods of concentration
    • Ability to speak in front of groups of people via Zoom
    • Frequent communication (Internal – 90%; External – 10%) (written / verbal)
    • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
