Senior Data Analyst

We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Data Analyst at Super Free Games, you will play a crucial role in helping us understand player behavior, optimize game performance, and drive data-driven decision-making. Your insights will directly influence game design, monetization strategies, and user engagement, contributing to the success of our mobile games. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the studio in developing our proprietary internal analytics tools.

The Job (Responsibilities)

  • KPI Monitoring: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the health of our games, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends related to player behavior, game performance, and in-game economy.
  • A/B Testing: Design and implement A/B tests to evaluate the impact of gameplay changes, features, monetization strategies, and provide recommendations based on results.
  • Player Segmentation: Create player segments based on various characteristics and behaviors, enabling personalized experiences and targeted marketing efforts.
  • Dashboards and Reporting: Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and automated reports to provide real-time visibility into game performance.
  • Predictive Modeling: Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to build predictive models for player retention, churn, and spending behavior.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including game designers, product managers, and developers, to integrate data insights into the game development process.

You (Skills and Experience)

  • Minimum 5 years experience working as a data analyst, preferably in the mobile gaming industry. 
  • Familiarity with mobile game A/B testing methodologies, statistical analysis, and cohort analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and actionable manner.
  • A passion for mobile games and an understanding of casual game mechanics, monetization strategies, and player behavior.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Amplitude or Mode Analytics (preferably both)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience querying large, complex data sets and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
  • Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.

Compensation

$95,000 – $140,000 USD for candidates in NY, CA, and WA.  Salary is commensurate with experience. The salary range for applicants outside of NY, CA, and WA is commensurate with experience and location.
