We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development of our data tools and systems! This role owns the strategy, planning, and execution of our product analytics framework. The ideal candidate will bring depth of functional (product management) and subject matter (analytics frameworks, growth engineering) experience as well as a proven track record in organizations of varying sizes. As our Data and Analytics Product Manager, you will be responsible for tools, displays, and best practices to help the whole company make the best use of data about our product, customers, and business. You will partner closely with the Analytics and Data Infrastructure teams and interface with a wide variety of internal customers such as Execs, Product teams, Marketing teams, Partnerships, and Engineering.

What you will be doing

  • Own the strategy, planning, and execution of our product analytics and visualization platform

  • Responsible for tools, visualization, and best practices to help the whole company make the best use of data about our product, customers, and business

  • Partner closely with the Analytics and Data Engineering teams and interface with a wide variety of internal customers: e.g., Execs, Product teams, Marketing teams etc

  • Define requirements across Product, Sales, Analytics, Engineering, and Native Apps for a suite of data tools and projects

  • Partner with stakeholders to define new opportunities for data products

What you should have

  • 8+ years of overall experience (including at least 3+ as a Product Manager) related to data and/or data engineering

  • Experience partnering with engineering and design teams to define, build, and maintain products which are critical to growth, engagement, and retention

  • Demonstrated empathy for key data management pain-points and prior experience building data products catering to data engineers or data scientists

  • Driven taxonomy and data governance initiatives which have enabled better decision making  

  • Good understanding of data ecosystem and data products in the market

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to help drive strategy and influence stakeholder teams   

  • Familiarity with backend data processing engines like Apache Hive and Apache Spark, interactive SQL query engines like Presto and Impala, and systems for analyzing events in near-real time like Druid and Logstash
