SUMMARY
As a successful Sr. Analyst, Pricing, you are responsible for KPI analysis and implementing pricing strategies. You leverage a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to determine the necessary pricing actions to maximize profitability, while still ensuring integrity and accuracy. You create pricing strategies and rules based on analysis and input from data in order to determine how best to price an item that will be attractive for our customers but also profitable for Zappos. You ensure data quality and influence the direction of Pricing systems and tools. You work closely with business stakeholders and communicate strategies, opportunities, and risks with the most effective and influential met ods so that any employee has the ability to see why and how a product was priced.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Implement pricing strategy within reporting and analytics and advising on health and goal towards pricing goals.

  • Analyzing pricing strategy performance and impact.

  • Recommending and championing changes to pricing strategy based on results from analyses.

  • Monitoring Pricing Health KPI Metrics and identifying process changes in alignment with strategy on actions needed.

  • Building financial models based on the assessment of the impact of various pricing strategies.

  • Creating and writing new pricing rules.

  • Supporting strategic pricing initiatives across the team and organization.

  • Collecting and assessing market and competitor data and applying analytics to inform strategy.

  • Analyzing pricing rules to verify that rules are working in accordance with plan and financial conditions.

  • Strong relationships with cross functional business partners to partner on understanding needs and communicating strategy and actions accordingly in support of business operations.

  • Mentoring junior members of the Pricing team.


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience.

  • At least four (4) years of experience in pricing and/or revenue management.

  • At least two (2) years of experience leading strategic pricing projects.

  • Microsoft Office expertise, especially in Excel.

  • SQL experience.

  • Excellent communicator - speaks and writes clearly and to the point.

  • Analytical and organized with relentless attention to detail.

  • Strong intellectual curiosity and affinity for numbers.

The base pay range for this position is $98,500-111,500 per year ; however,

base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition, a full range of medical and other benefits is offered.
