The Basics:

Tanium is looking for a curious, driven, and hardworking individual to join its Business Intelligence and Analytics organization as a Senior Business Analyst. This role will interact with various teams and levels of management, and the right candidate must have the ability to communicate with multiple levels across Sales, Finance, and other Operations teams.

This person must be an analytical and critical thinker, a problem solver, a curious deep diver, and a clear communicator. She/he must be able to roll-up their sleeves, and work directly with the models and data, while also keeping the bigger picture in mind when sharing any findings or narratives with the rest of the business. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, independent, confident speaking to a group, and naturally inquisitive. This person may also maintain strategic alignment with operational teams and leadership individuals, provide value-add business insights and organizational support, and build programs and efficient processes that drive growth.

The position can be located anywhere in the continental United States.

What you’ll do:

  • Join a high-performing, geographically dispersed team to enable critical insight and operational excellence across our Customer Success and Finance
  • Build robust forecasting models and KPI dashboards to communicate business performance
  • Drive decision making for the business by analyzing data, identifying trends, and developing best practices
  • Develop processes to ensure systems contain accurate, reporting-ready data
  • Support ad-hoc data requests in support of various business initiatives
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation libraries for key systems, metrics, and reporting packages
  • Proactively identify and communicate business trends to Customer Success and Finance management

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree candidate, majoring in business or a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Business Management, Economics, Finance or other )
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant, progressive experience
  • Problem solving capabilities, critical thinker, able to investigate root causes and recommend solutions
  • Experience developing insights from complex data and dealing with relational databases
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to executives and large group

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
  • Experience partnering directly with leaders at the VP level or above
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Power BI, Tableau, Periscope and/or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience with SQL, Snowflake, Impala, R, Power Query, Python and/or equivalent
