As our Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and expanding our systems that handle billions of content interactions every day to detect intent signals from companies across the world. You will collaborate closely with product management, design, and other engineers, applying your strong critical thinking and analytical skills to transform visions into reality. Additionally, you will have the chance to lead cross-team initiatives, provide guidance to your team members, and establish engineering best practices. Bombora’s engineering teams are very collaborative, supportive curious and enjoy experimentation.

You will…

  • Deliver high-quality, high-performance solutions in rapid iterations in an Agile environment
  • Architect, maintain and optimize production ETL pipelines and systems
  • Design and implement large, highly scalable systems in Google Cloud Platform, including Dataflow, Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery
  • Develop Airflow/Composer pipelines in Python
  • Develop microservices in C# (docker & Kubernetes experience is preferred)
  • Mentor, support, and advance the development of junior colleagues with whom you will work

You have…

  • 8+ years of commercial software development experience in Python and SQL (BigQuery preferred.
  • 2+ years experience with cloud and/or big data systems (GCP preferred), in a technical leadership role
  • Ad-tech experience in digital marketing specializing in Audience Delivery and Taxonomy
  • Data integration or related experience with LiveRamp, TheTradeDesk, OpenX or other ad network
  • Confidence in architecting and optimizing streaming and batch ETL data pipelines and systems
    • Ability to architect scalable solutions running in Google Cloud Platform or other cloud providers
    • Comfortable selecting appropriate technologies and data structures/stores depending on the use cases, experience weighing trade-offs
  • Data Processing at scale: Experience optimizing queries and writing DAGs to process large volumes of data (tens of billions of records), ideally in Airflow/Composer
  • Continuously improve the code base and inspire others to do the same
  • Map business requirements to appropriate technical solutions
  • B.S. or significant, relevant experience

Compensation Package

  • The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $170.000. Actual compensation may vary and will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
