Job Overview:
We're seeking a collaborative Manager/Senior Manager of Data Engineering to lead our team in building a scalable data model that empowers data-driven decisions and machine learning capabilities. Join us in creating functional data marts to support our product data scientists in crafting narratives to power our Sales and Customer Success teams. Responsibilities:
Lead the data engineering team in designing and building scalable and reliable data pipelines
Manage and mentor a team of data and analytics engineers
Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and design data solutions
Define data governance policies and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
Develop and implement data quality control processes and metrics to ensure data accuracy and completeness
Participate in data modeling and database design activities
Monitor and maintain data warehouse performance and identify opportunities for optimization
Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and recommend new tools and platforms that could improve our data infrastructure

Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering
Experience in managing a team of data engineers and data analysts with at least 3 direct reports
Previous evidence of driving business impact through your deliverables
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Deep knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery
Passion for data-driven decision-making and continuous learning

Butter is well funded by leading investors and offers a competitive benefits package including unlimited PTO, 401k matching, and comprehensive health insurance. The salary range for this position is $176,000 - $264,000.
