POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Operations Analyst is a part of a dynamic team and works at the forefront of improving Sunrun’s business results. As a part of the Sales Operations team, you will focus on generating quantitative insights by building data tools, as well as keeping a strong pulse on sales practices, business processes, and customer experience insights so that you can provide well rounded recommendations. You will have the opportunity to both work independently and highly collaboratively with Sr. Leadership to drive business results. Our ideal team member is comfortable problem solving on their own but also communicates well with groups, delivers beyond explicit instructions by offering their own creative ideas, and wants to have the opportunity to influence/inform senior leaders’ decision making in a way that drives meaningful results for Sunrun and its customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide business insights and analytics in support of Sunrun’s many sales diverse channels
Partner with and understand business processes and channels, and their related critical metrics and goals
Use highly effective communication skills and ask great questions to understand user needs for reporting -- what problem are they trying to solve?
Scope, build and manage analysis activities including models, dashboards and reporting packages in multiple environments
Translate data into meaningful insights to drive decision making, automation and process improvement, and uncover performance opportunities
Develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to operations and key partner groups
Research data sources to develop metrics for monitoring and proactively improving sales business; develop quantitative operational and financial models as needed
Drive automation of routine data collection and develop reporting processes that aid operational performance management
Prepare regular & ad hoc reports and presentations; respond to information requests
Identify and monitor key financial and operating metrics, business risks, and opportunities
The position will extend outside of data analysis and also work on business process and system optimization
Must be able to thrive in a high growth environment and be comfortable working with changing priorities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business, Finance, Statistics, or related field, or significant relevant experience
>3-5 years of relevant work experience as a business analyst
>3-5 years experience working with SQL
Experience in Snowflake, DBT, Tableau preferred
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Applied knowledge of financial and business metrics
Be comfortable working with all layers of the organization - from getting feedback from sales reps to presenting executives
Ability to think strategically about uses of data
Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
Strong relationship management skills
Experience presenting and reporting on plans and analyses to appropriate collaborators
Independently manage day to day activities
Ability to own end to end development of dashboards using BI Platform (Tableau)

The starting salary for this opportunity ranges from $68,000.00 to $95,000.00. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards. Sunrun provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
