We are looking for a motivated and skilled software engineer to join the recently formed First Party Data team. The team’s mission is to unlock high-quality, rapid decisions that best serve our patients by understanding them through the lens of data that they have chosen to share with Ro. You will help create and execute the technical vision for collecting, managing, and leveraging this data while prioritizing privacy and security. You will be a founding member of the team and will collaborate closely with engineering, data, security, and growth teams.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the team in building the architectural vision and technical roadmap for first party data at Ro
• Build services with high test coverage, performance, availability and observability
• Define patterns and best practices for others to follow
• Promote knowledge-sharing by collaborating on code reviews and technical design documents
• Collaborate and partner across teams to understand business goals and priorities
• Gain expertise in the best practices for data privacy, security, and governance

What You'll Bring:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience designing and building scalable web applications and distributed systems
• Proficiency with Python or Go
• Experience with data collection/ingestion and/or event-driven architectures
• Ability / desire to refine ambiguous problems and be entrepreneurial

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with first party data and/or customer data platforms
• Experience with identity resolution
• Experience with Braze
