We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pricing – Support Insurance Product filing process. Update pricing and preparation of filing exhibits for regulatory compliance, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines. Draft responses for objections and inquiries from regulatory bodies, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the filed materials. Conduct sound actuarial analyses and support findings.
  • Underwriting – Conduct thorough underwriting reviews to assess risk, pricing, and profitability of insurance products. Involvement in portfolio underwriting efforts.
  • Analytics – Participation in dashboarding and analytics processes. Support report automation processes to key business partners.
  • Claims Reviews – Involvement in reserving and claims analysis efforts. Participation in quarterly reserving process to help assess claims performance.
  • Risk Management – Participation in reinsurance and program renewal efforts. Involvement in captive actuarial studies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Passed a minimum of two actuarial exams.
  • Previous internship or relevant work experience in an actuarial role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, producing exhibits, and reporting.
  • Experience or familiarity with Python for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
  • Knowledge of Tableau or other data visualization tools is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with insurance industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment and willingness to take initiative.

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with potentially applicable laws. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and bonus dependent upon position.
