Roamly Insurance Group (Roamly) is the first full-stack insurtech for RV enthusiasts with an embedded offering, unlocking RV insurance to make owners' vehicles 'rent ready.' Roamly provides unique digital insurance products that eliminate the commercial use exclusion clause that prohibits online renting activity. Our insurance provides the clarity that owners need to ensure their vehicles are affirmatively allowed to be rented on platforms like Outdoorsy.

We are seeking to hire a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our scaling team. This is a dream role for the mission-oriented growth individual who loves helping companies build and scale.


Reporting to the Director of Actuarial, this individual will be actively involved in new product development, pricing, analytics, and actuarial to support the company’s aggressive growth plans and create a competitive advantage within the various market segments. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and provide advanced analysis to moderately complex defined tasks and projects.


Responsibilities

  • Pricing – Conduct actuarial pricing analyses and perform market competitive studies to ensure pricing adequacy and segmentation review. Support indication and filing processes.
  • Underwriting – Involvement in portfolio underwriting efforts. Assess inforce vehicle distribution to ensure a healthy portfolio mix and improve online bind and conversion rates.
  • Analytics – Create interactive and dynamic dashboards to provide insightful information and enable data-driven decisions from key stakeholders. Lead and automate reporting processes to key business partners.
  • Claims Reviews – Support reserving and claims analysis efforts. Development of Claims KPIs and dashboards to facilitate claims review processes.
  • Product Development – Work with external vendors and business partners and support the launch, negotiation, and implementation efforts of new products to expand the Roamly product suite.
  • Risk Management – Participate in reinsurance and program renewal efforts and involvement in captive actuarial studies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 to 4 years of experience working in insurance/risk management
  • Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills
  • Strong proficiency in excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar analytical tools
